Certwood Limited was formed in June 1986, its moulding operations began with two second hand moulding machines in a factory of just 4,500 sq ft.
The Company’s initial offer to its customers was simple, quality mouldings, delivered on time and competitively priced.
This remains the company’s main goal today.
The company offers technical trade moulded products servicing a wide range of industries.
Certwood supports initial design concept, prototyping, modelling, tooling, pre-production and moulding to SOP, followed by volume production.
Certwood is an ISO 9001:2015 Quality Approved Manufacturer.
Alongside Trade Moulded Services, the Company also manufactures its own ‘StorSystem’ range of Storage products, based on Plastic storage trays housed in wood furniture and metal racks.
In addition, it also manufactures and supplies it’s own, all plastic Assure Chair range.
Today Certwood’s production operation has grown to 20 moulding machines ranging from 50 tonnes up to 900 tonnes. All machines are fitted with either 3 or 6 axis robotic product handling. The company continues to invest in new, latest technology moulding machines and handling equipment.
Certwood’s UK manufacturing and distribution site is a modern 40,000 sq ft factory based in North Luton. Product manufacturing is based upon a daily 24-hour shift cycle.
In recent years the company has set up a distribution operation in Wintersville, Ohio, to support the business’ successful growth in North America. It’s StorSystem products have become market leaders in the USA.
The company’s unique patented StorSystem products are now sold globally to companies supporting education, medical and industrial sectors. It is acknowledged as the leading product of its kind.
